Swim Strong is Thankful for Quimey Moure!

Quimey Moure was a young man on a mission. That mission was to honor his mentor Paul Brown, who recently passed away. Paul Brown’s work, teaching water safety and competitive swimming skills touched the lives and hearts of hundreds of people in his community. Quimey, a former student of Paul, celebrated his life by hosting the All For Paul Fundraiser.

He organized a pool party at the Pembroke Meadows recreation center and had the radio station HOT 100.5 come out and sponsor the event where people of all ages enjoyed the activities. The event raised $1500 dollars which Quimey donated to Swim Strong Foundation’s scholarship fund so that 5 at risk children received free swim lessons this Summer.

Paul Brown’s passion for helping people to be safe and skilled in the water clearly lives on in Quimey Moure. Now Quimey has passed that gift on to five other young people. Quimey is a young man who has done well by doing good. In this time of Thanks and Giving, Swim Strong thanks Quimey Moure for his generosity of spirit and turning his passion into purpose.
