We are beyond proud to share that our own Kate Casciato has been named a Daily Point of Light honoree by Points of Light, recognized for the work she’s poured into water safety education across New York City. A volunteer who shows up everywhere the work is needed

Kate shows what it looks like to turn passion into purpose. With Swim Strong Foundation, she teaches swim skills and situational knowledge of water directly in the pool. Beyond the water, she carries that same commitment into schools and libraries, helping kids build the knowledge and confidence to stay safe long before they ever step near a pool, lake, or beach. And she doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Kate has taken her advocacy all the way to Albany, pushing for legislation that would mandate water safety education in New York schools — because she knows this knowledge shouldn’t depend on luck, zip code, or access to lessons. It should be part of every child’s education. Keep shining the light, Kate.
