Water Safety Awareness Day!

Swim Strong is a non-profit, Queens and Brooklyn-based community swim organization that is dedicated to saving lives.

In response to community requests and the reception of our event in 2013, we are now expanding our offerings in both Brooklyn and Queens.

Our community event is part of the National Water Safety Month, which is designed to start the summer season off by offering a number of educational and water skills events.

This is an opportunity for community leaders to have a direct experience with our program participants to see for themselves the impact we make on the lives of the families whom we serve.

Programs

Our programs are family-oriented and include a wide range of water and health skills workshops and clinics.

Our activities on Saturday, May 18 will be held at the Brooklyn Sports Club from 9 am to 12 pm and at Far Rockaway High School, scheduled for 2-5 pm. We will offer:

➢ Community swim activities
➢ Water safety workshops with by FAJR Memorial Foundation
➢ Surf clinic with Surf Rider
➢ CPR training workshop with FDNY
➢ Health and Nutrition workshop and information
➢ Personal, property and business safety workshops with NYPD

We will offer a raffle to raise funds for our scholarship program.
