“Learn to Swim” is an hour program and has two stages: In the first, students learn proper breathing, kicking and streamlining technique. In the second stage students learn proper freestyle and backstroke. There are no more than 3-5 students per instructor.

Ages: 6 and up

Date & Time: Saturday 2:30-3:30 p.m. From: 5/4-6/29. No Class 5/25

Location: James Madison High School, 3787 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn NY 11229

Requirements: All participants must be comfortable in the water, able to demonstrate control of their bodies; able to submerge their face and head, and able to stand in 4.5 feet of water. Children must: be mature 6 and older; able to take direction from an instructor; be independent from their parents.

Refund Policy: Refunds are not provided unless the student suffers a severe medical condition documented by the physician.

Make-Ups: Make-ups are not provided to Get Ready/Get Wet, Adaptive and 1st level Learn to Swim students due to the personalized nature of those classes.   Students in more advanced classes may rake a makeup at another location/time where they can be accommodated.  Check with your head coach.  Make-ups must be taken within the current session.
